"Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see" - John W Whitehead

East Leake is fortunate to have its own excellent primary and secondary schools and these should be jealously guarded as they are the key to our future community and economic well being.  Children who attend local schools in the community have an appreciation of their environment and enjoy a degree of security in this.  As a result higher levels of achievement and responsibility ensure that a greater proportion of our local children develop to become assets to society as a whole and the community in particular.  Whether or not you have children it is wise to support our local schools...

Arley House PNEU School East Leake is an IAPS Day School for boys and girls aged from 3 to 11 years.  Now under the ownership of Trent College, Arley House retains all of its traditional values backed by the superb academic, extracurricular and management resources of Trent College, one of the East Midlands’ major Independent schools.

Located in a beautiful rural environment and easily accessible from Nottingham, Loughborough and the east, Arley House combines a small, friendly, nurturing environment with a wide range of facilities and superlative teaching.

Being situated within a close-knit village community allows our pupils to appreciate first hand the strong community spirit that exists here and experience some of the old-fashioned values that are absent in less settled communities.

If you are interested in the school and wish to meet our staff and the children please contact the school office on 01509 852229 to arrange an appointment.

We are a fully comprehensive school and believe that ‘Every Child Matters’.  We aim to offer each student the opportunity to achieve, succeed and feel a real part of a community that thrives on challenge, accepts and values each individual for what they are, what they can be, and what they can give to others.

Students come from East Leake and a number of surrounding villages.  There are also a number of students who choose to come to from as far away as Nottingham, Loughborough and parts of Derbyshire and Leicestershire.   We have enjoyed being known as a good school for many years and we are usually oversubscribed. We welcome visits from prospective parents and wish to maintain regular contact with home throughout the time a student is with us.  We are happy to talk with you at regular parents consultation evenings or events, by phone, mail and email.  If you wish to speak with a member of staff this is best with a phone call to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Children & Young People

Nottinghamshire is one of the largest children services authorities in the country, serving a population of over 700,000. The Children and Young People's Services department is working in partnership to improve the life chances of all 182,000 children and young people living in the county.

The new department has a particular focus on designing support services around children and families needs rather than around the needs of those who provide them. This means that the department has systems and processes that ensure the voice of children, young people and their families is heard and taken account of in planning and evaluating services.
